Warm art for the Ice Festival

During this weekend’s Festival of Ice in Clarks Summit, we have temporarily installed stained glass for an art exhibit at the Presbyterian Church. Over the front door we installed “Triphyllum,” a color-abstracted rendition of Jack-in-the-Pulpit. Although the pastor’s name is not Jack, the triptych’s title seems appropriate for a church! Actually hadn’t thought of that when we selected the piece as our primary interest was a set of panels that would fit the transom.

Across the narthex there is another transom where we inserted two panels from a nine-piece set. “Flight” is a colorful set that shows off well even in the interior window.

Snow this afternoon was a perfect touch for the Ice Festival. Folks can come in from the winter to a warm and colorful art show. Winter will be ending, I hope, when we head to Philadelphia for our next exhibit: The Philadelphia Invitational Furniture Show on March 23, 24, and 25.
